Brian Simpson has been associated with the Dunlop and Slazenger companies for fifty years. He joined the Dunlop Footwear division, then based at the Speke factory in Liverpool, in 1955 and subsequently held management positions in that division before moving to Dunlopillo, where he became European Director, and, from 1982 to 1989, to the USA as President of Dunlop Slazenger in North America. He then returned to the Dunlop Slazenger headquarters in the UK as the group's Strategic headquarters in the UK as the group's Strategic Planning Director before successive duties as consultant, Managing Director Europe, Company Secretary and, finally, as the company's historian and archivist.
