Leonardo Martinez-Diaz is director of the Sustainable Finance Center at the World Resources Institute, where he leads the Center's work to help drive finance into activities that promote sustainability and combat climate change. During the Obama Administration, he served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Energy and Environment at the US Department of the Treasury, representing the United States in international climate negotiations and multilateral bodies. He is the author of Globalizing in Hard Times: The Politics of Banking-Sector Opening in the Emerging World and coeditor, with Ngaire Woods, of Networks of Influence?: Developing Countries in a Networked Global Order.
