Ciji Ware is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of thirteen works of historical and contemporary fiction and two of nonfiction. Among many accolades, she was bestowed the Dorothy Parker Award of Excellence for Fiction and short-listed for the 2012 Willa [Cather] Literary Award for Historical Fiction. For her novels set in Scotland she was granted the designation of FSA-Scot (Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland), an honor she cherishes. A graduate of Harvard University in History, Ware is an Emmy-award winning television producer, a DuPont awardee for investigative journalism, and an American Bar Association winner of a Silver Gavel for her magazine work.
