Karen Ryan is a seasoned nutritionist as well as an ADHD coach and behaviour interventionist for school-aged children and teens. She is a firm believer in the correlation between food and mood and that a clean diet is the best medicine for sound health of body and mind. Guided by her extensive education, research, and experience in clinical and holistic nutrition, Karen dedicates her focus to helping all people, especially children and teens with ADHD, eat healthier and live happier.
As an active member of several organizations, Karen also devotes her time to working on behalf of Children and Adults Against Drugging America (CHAADA), the Citizens Commission on Human Rights (CCHR), the Canadian Society of Nutrition Management (CSNM), the Pacific Society of Nutrition Management (PSNM), and the Canadian Association of Natural Nutritional Practitioners (CANNP). In addition, Karen is the founder of The ADDvocates, an organization aimed at raising awareness of ADHD.
She currently resides in Vancouver, BC, with her husband and two children. Karen counts her vivacious son, who was diagnosed with ADHD at age seven, as her greatest inspiration for writing this book.
