Karen is a journalist and writer from regional Victoria. She has written three books: The Extraordinary, Unordinary Gum Tree, The Extraordinary Tom Fink and The Misadventures of the Travelling Quirkus. Karen worked for newspapers and magazines in Australia and Northern Ireland, and her first adult fiction manuscript was longlisted for the Australian Vogel Literary Award. Her children's books support farmers facing hardship by donating $1 from every sale to the Aussie Helpers charity.
