Elizabeth Fama attended the University of Chicago, where she received a BA in Biology with honors, an MBA, and a PhD in Economics and Finance. She won the 2013 Odyssey Honor Award (Monstrous Beauty) and was nominated for 5 state readers' choice awards (Overboard). Her husband is an economist, they have 4 grown children.
