J. Andersen lived in Orlando, Florida to study creative writing. During and after completing her education, she traveled to many places from Puerto Rico to India, finally settling with her family in Colorado. In her works, she explores life, death, and the absurdity, the misfortunes, the beauty, and the power in all of it. J. Andersen won Most Outstanding Poet from the University of Central Florida, graduated top of her class for her master's degree at Full Sail University and has published works in Killauthor and Burning Word.
