Lucas Schmidt is the author of more than eight novels, including The Wanted and Bear Creek Massacre. He was born in Kansas, grew up in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Texas State University with a BBA in finance. He first started writing in high school, which involved mostly poems. He still writes poetry under a pen name, Luke Levi, and his poetry has been published in journals across the world. In 2012 he started writing short stories and novels. He currently lives just outside of Austin, Texas.
