Luigi Russo (born in Naples, Italy, in 1969, son of an Italian father and American mother) is a chef and an Italian restaurateur, patron of Osteria Domenicana based in Turin, Italy. Russo was first inspired by his father who also was an Italian Chef in Naples, and watching his grandmother and aunt in the kitchen preparing family meals. He began at the young age of 13, where he trained himself in the kitchen and traveled frequently between Italy and USA. He gradually learned how to blend the traditional Italian art of cooking with the goal of achieving the perfection. Russo has written several books, including two autobiographies as well as various cookery books. He has also written for many publications, and currently writes a weekly column for the Daily Sunday Magazine and presents a bi-weekly show on Jordi Radio. In 2014, Chef Russo and his wife Giovanna Esposito founded Food4All inc., a non-profit organization conceived to build culture as a way of empowering communities and advocating for healthy and equitable food systems (sponsored by Battino Foundation).
