Catherine Cooper was a primary school teacher for twenty-nine years before deciding to write for children. Catherine’s love of history, myths and legends and the Shropshire countryside where she lives, shines through in her charming stories. She is the author of several books in the acclaimed Jack Brenin series. In 2014 Catherine was appointed as a Patron of Reading until 2017.
