Suzy Zail worked as a litigation lawyer specialising in family law before becoming a full-time writer. Her first novel for young adults, The Wrong Boy, was shortlisted for the CBCA Book of the Year Awards, the Adelaide Festival Award for Literature and the USBBY Awards, and her second novel, Saving Midnight, was a Notable Book at the CBCA Awards. She is passionate about justice and wrote YA novel I Am Change, the story of a young Ugandan girl’s struggle to stay in school, to highlight the issue of FGM.
