This is the first book I've written, something I have yearned to do for many decades. I served as a Special Forces medic (in the "Green Berets"), and then was awarded an Army scholarship to nursing school and served several years as an Army nurse. The culmination of my nursing career was a 16-year period of service as a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurse. I retired early to care for an ill wife and a young son; and look forward to a long writing career.
