William D. Frank is an artist, musician, writer and professor of history from Yakima, Washington. He is the author of two award-winning books on Russian and Soviet sports history and his articles have appeared in The Boston Globe, The Journal of Sport History, Ski History Magazine, and Pacific Northwest Quarterly.
