Peter K. Burian, a writer and stock photographer living near Toronto, Canada, has written more than 16 camera-specific guidebooks. He is the co-author of the best-selling National Geographic Photography Field Guide (with Robert Caputo) and sole author of Mastering Digital Photography and Imaging. Currently, he is a contributing editor with Canadian magazines Here's How, Photo Life, Photo Solution, and Marketnews, and he is known downunder as a contributing editor to Australian Photography magazine. He has contributed regularly to Outdoor Photographer and Shutterbug and was the editor of Shutterbug's Outdoor & Nature Photography.
