Award-winning author Melissa Balderas LMSW, is the recipient of the 2020 Royal Dragonfly Book Awards, 2020 Story Monsters Approved Book Awards, and a 5 star editorial review from Readers' Favorite for Emma Kate and The Show and Tell Day. Melissa works as a licensed social worker who graduated cum laude from Midwestern State University with a Bachelor of Social Work. She pursued graduate school at The University of Texas at Arlington, where she graduated with a Master of Social Work, specializing in direct practice with children and families. She resides in Texas with her wonderful husband and lovely children.
