Gary Rhodes is one of Britain's most popular celebrity chefs. In 1997 he set up his restaurant City Rhodes which has just been awarded its first Michelin Star. He is best known for his several BBC TV series and tie-in books, including 'Rhodes Around Britain', 'More Rhodes Around Britain', 'Open Rhodes Around Britain', 'Roald Dahl's Revolting Recipes' and 'Gary Rhodes'. In 1994 he was voted Television Food and Wine Personality of the Year by BBC Good Food Magazine and Sunday Express readers. He won the Special Award at the Hotel and Caterer Magazine Awards (the catering industry's Oscars) in 1996 for his contribution to the British food industry. He lives with his wife and two sons in Kent.
