Dr. Janet Bendell grew up in upstate New York and earned her doctorate from the University of Massachusetts. She also lived in and traveled about Europe extensively. A Vietnam-era vet and former army Captain, Dr. Bendell owns the non-profit Anger and Stress Management Institute of Colorado Springs and is an expert on PTSD, equal employment opportunity, and other social psychology issues. The Bendells own the Strongheart Ranch near Florence, Colorado.
