Mary Welsh should have had a career in the medical field as she is always concerned about the health and wellbeing of others. One of the things that she was really concerned about was eating disorders and how they affected others. Though she was not the victim of an eating disorder, she knew persons who were secretly battling binge eating. This was a challenge that she could not sit by and watch them go through alone so she started to do her research. From all the information she had gathered, Mary was able to help her friends get over the difficult hurdles and she also had enough to write an introductory book on the negative impact that binge eating can have on an individual.
