Hugh Matthews is the pseudonym for Matthew Hughes, the bestselling author of short fiction, anthologies, and novels. A university drop-out from a working poor background, he is the recipient of the Arthur Ellis Award from the Crime Writers of Canada. He currently resides in Britain.
