Judith Thompson is an award-winning playwright and screenwriter. She has twice won the Governor General's Award for Drama, and has been recognized with many other awards including the Order of Canada, the Walter Carsen Performing Arts Award, the Toronto Arts Award, The Epilepsy Ontario Award, the Dora, the Chalmers, the Amnesty International Freedom of Expression Award, and many others. Her plays have been produced all over the world in many languages. She has received honorary doctorates from Thorneloe University and Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario. Born in Montreal, she now lives in Toronto. This is her first novel.
