David Cavanagh was born in Dublin in 1964, and was educated in Northern Ireland and England. He has worked as a music journalist for, amongst others, Q, Mojo and Select, and is the author of `My Magpie Eyes are Hungry for the Prize: The Creation Records Story' (Virgin 2000).
