Pádraig Yeates is a journalist and trade union activist. He is a distinguished social and labour historian and the author of Lockout, the standard work on the great 1913 labour dispute. He is also author of the acclaimed ‘Dublin at War’ trilogy: A City in Wartime: Dublin 1914–18, A City in Turmoil: Dublin 1919–21 and A City in Civil War: Dublin 1921–1924.
