"I’m Laura McGreevy, founder and CEO (Creative Enthusiastic Optimist) of Madly and Forever – Personalised Poetry for all Occasions.
I was born in Canada, grew up in Florida, and am now living permanently in the Vale of Glamorgan, Wales with my Irish husband. I have three amazing grown up daughters.
When I am not writing I am singing with Cardiff Style Barbershop Chorus and working in TV and Films as a supporting artist.
My background is in freelance writing and marketing. I worked as a columnist for the Post (part of the Western Mail and Echo group) for two years, and then went on to write bits and pieces for such publications as Reader’s Digest, Woman’s Own, She, Woman Alive, Fate and Fortune, Yours and many more.
My true passion though is being a wordsmith. I am a real geek when it comes to delving into dictionaries and trolling through thesauruses, and I am never happier than when I can sink my teeth into a poetic project, creating tailor-made offerings for people who are looking for something a bit different.
Madly and Forever poems make perfect gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, retirement, new baby, passing exams, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Thank-you, or just to say ‘I love you’.
They are ideal to put into a frame, on a scroll or to incorporate into a photo book.
My first published book 'Madly and Forever...a collection of poetry' gives examples of my work."
