The venerable 72 year old touring poet has traded poems onstage with Thomas Lux and Stephen Dobyns, and performed with Patricia Smith. He has published two books and five chapbooks of poetry. He had a five-year run with a poetry TV show, has appeared in several films, and has been on NPR. His final books, Drunks has been heralded as his most important book in exacting real change on its readers.
