Candice Jones is a Caribbean Canadian Gospel Jazz saxophonist, artist, and author who loves to play music with others, travel and meet new people from all walks of life. She was born and raised in Montreal, Qc, Canada into a Trinidadian home, full of music, fried bakes, salt-fish, ginger beer, and her personal favourite-Sorrel. Her love for music and art started very young and her love for travel began at seventeen during her high school graduation trip to Europe. You could say that her ambition to finish her undergraduate studies in the west coast of Canada was in part due to her eagerness to explore and see what the rest of Canada looked like. Candice has a B.Arts degree in International Health & Wilderness Studies from Burman University and a B.Music degree in Jazz Studies from Vancouver Island University. Her love for travel and exploration led her to become an English Teacher abroad in South Korea and her love for learning from her students and teaching children what she knows is what made her decide to go back to school and get certified as a teacher in Canada during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Friends say that Candice is a kind, gentle, and caring person who enjoys working with people, especially children. She is an amazingly versatile person who will try her best to step up to any challenge that life throws at her. Her constant pursuit for creativity allows for her to heal and flourish from within.
