Kari Milito is a daydreamer and a night dreamer. Stories are always spinning around in her head, so it only made sense for her to let them spill out onto the printed page. This is the first of her stories to be published, and it is only natural that the main character is an elephant. Kari has loved elephants since she was a little girl and continues to collect them today.

Kari lives in Ogden, Utah, where she has all of her life. She has spent the last 13 years as a single mom chasing after her two amazing sons while working as an accounting manager for a local company. Her mom passed away six years ago, but she still has her dad, three siblings, (five counting their spouses!), and five beautiful nieces. Kari continually tells her boys how important feelings are to living a healthy, happy, well-balanced life. "Feel your feelings," she says, "but don't get stuck feeling one for too long." Kari feels everyone should learn that as well, and that is why she wrote Elmer's Feelings.
