Diana is an award-winning author. She is a native Texan who chased a career to New York and returned to Texas after 12 years. She spent over 30 successful years in a lucrative, yet challenging career as a Federal Law Enforcement Officer. In March 2021, she decided to retire and began to focus on her true life's passion, the Arts. She literally underwent a lifestyle transformation. Metaphorically speaking, she gave up handcuffs, badge and uniform for pencils, paper and sketchpads. She loves animals and is very empathetic towards them. She mainly enjoys reading, writing, drawing, painting, crafting. She resides in Harlingen, a small town in South Texas known as the Rio Grande Valley (RGV). This region is known for its beautiful beach, South Padre Island which is located along the Gulf of Mexico. Diana's vision is to create children's books with relatable characters and storyline themes reflecting social skill building, self-awareness, and valuable life-lessons. She wholeheartedly supports Children's Literacy Development. Diana is intently following her passion, authoring literary works and creating visual art. Most importantly, as a writer and illustrator, she is undeniably living her best life.
