Dr. Thomas J. Weinandy is a Research Economist at Upside, a mobile two-sided promotions marketplace for brick-and-mortar retail. He has previously worked as a Data Science at BlueGranite consulting on projects at the intersection of machine learning and business intelligence. His webinars have accumulated over 25,000 views, including the popular "AI in a Day with Power BI" series. Dr. Weinandy received a Ph.D. in Applied Economics from Western Michigan University, an M.B.A. from Wheeling Jesuit University, and a B.A. in Social Entrepreneurship from John Carroll University. Dr. Weinandy also performs pro bono consulting, from conference organizing to nonprofit program evaluation. He lives in Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA.
