Liz was born in London. After graduating from university with a Law degree, she moved to California for six years where she led a varied life, from waitressing on Sunset Strip to working as secretary to the CEO of a large Japanese trading company.Returning to the UK, she completed a degree in English and then taught for a number of years, contributing weekly articles on education to a local newspaper for six of those years.Liz's first novel, The Road Back, was the US Coffee Time and Romance Book of the Year 2012. A Bargain Struck was RoNA-shortlisted for Best Historical Novel 2013, and they and The Lost Girl, Evie Undercover, The Art of Deception and A Western Heart were shortlisted by the Festival of Romantic Fiction in their respective categories. Liz's latest historical novels, The Dark Horizon, The Flame Within and The Lengthening Shadow, comprise the award-winning Linford Series, a saga set between the wars. Darjeeling Inheritance, the first of The Traders Series, was published in October 2022. Liz has also had short stories published in several anthologies and in magazines.Liz is an active member of the Romantic Novelists' Association, and also of the Historical Novel Society. She regularly gives talks and workshops at conferences, and is an approved speaker for organisations such as the WI and U3A. Her hobbies are theatre, reading, travel, cryptic crosswords.
