Jennifer is an independent rural sociologist who works with non-profit organizations concerned with shifting current practices in the US food system to a healthier, more vibrant and sustainable future. Her clients include nationally recognized leaders in food system work, such as Rodale Institute, the birthplace of organic agriculture in the US. She provides original social science research, full grant proposal support, program planning, evaluation design and implementation, report writing and newsletter content for projects that affect our health and well-being from the soil, to market and to our tables. She has a PhD in Rural Sociology from Penn State and Master’s in Human Geography from Oxford University. Jennifer has published in peer-reviewed academic journals, newsletters, blog posts, and in other public-serving media.
