The Promise, the first book in the Orphan Train West trilogy, shares the life or death struggles of Jack and Leah, two orphaned children living on the streets of New York City in the early twentieth century. In their need, they cry out to God who answers and begins a plan for their future. Oklahoma Bound, the second book in the Orphan Train West trilogy, travels westward with hopes, fears and insecurities. The children grow in their relationship with God as they journey, with other orphans, to unknown towns and prospective parents.
