David Laing Dawson is a psychiatrist and former chief of psychiatry at the Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital (now part of St Joseph's Health Care) and associate professor of psychiatry at McMaster University Faculty of Health Sciences also in Hamilton Ontario. Dawson is also a noted play write and film maker both documentary and feature as well as being an artist and co-owner of the Gallery on the Bay in Hamilton Ontario. He still finds time to treat patients.
