Christine Pacheco is a born romantic! Some of her earliest childhood memories are of her native Northern England where she traipsed through castles and dreamed of marrying her very own prince. She emigrated to Colorado when she was eight, and was quite disappointed to discover that people had cars and shopping malls, rather than horses and dirt roads with wooden sidewalks. You see, her grandfather was a huge fan of Westerns, and she spent many a Sunday afternoon in front of the television watching John Wayne movies. She soon found, however, that the mountains provided huge inspiration and that the Western cowboy fantasy was just as rich as that of princes and princesses.
She writes romance and erotic novels as Christine Pacheco and Christy Lockhart. She also wrote in collaboration with Vickie Conan, under the pseudonym of Christa Conan. She is a past president of Colorado Romance Writers and a past Board Member of Romance Writers of America. She's the recipient of Colorado Romance Writers Writer of the Year Award, RWA's prestigious Emma Merritt Service Award, along with the Coeur Du Bois Love of Romance Award. In her writing, she strives to weave the elements of her dreams—honorable men, real life situations, and a compelling love story—into books her readers will enjoy over and over again. To Christine, her readers are what it's all about. If she can touch your heart, her heart sings!
Christine, along with her real life hero, Jared, their two children, two cats, and two dogs still call Colorado home. Their deck has a distant view of Pikes Peak, the very mountain that inspired the song "America the Beautiful." As a certified life coach, she lives her life by Eleanor Roosevelt's saying: "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams," and encourages you to reach for your dreams. She would love to hear from you: christy@christylockhart.com
