Roz Southey is a writer and historian living in the north-east of England. She is the author of the acclaimed Charles Patterson Mysteries - historical crime novels set in Newcastle upon Tyne in the eighteenth century. Her short stories have appeared in a number of magazines, including the Mammoth Book of Best British Crime. She is also a regular speaker and tutor at writing courses.
