Dr. Richard Reikivic is an appreciated meditation teacher, an award-winning writer, and a journalist. He is the author of several books, in particular with his co-author Asana Swami, books like your last manuscript MINDFULNESS AND MEDITATION FOR ANXIETY. Dr. Reikivic has received journalism awards from the World Human Society. In 2018, Dr. Reikivic also won the British Popular Medicine Best Book Award for 'Meditation Healing' (published in the US as 'REIKI HEALING FOR BEGINNERS'). His books have been translated into more than 10 languages. His journalism has appeared in the New Scientist, The Guardian, Daily Mail, BBC English broadcast, and CNN. Previously he trained to teach mindfulness with the acclaimed Breathjourney. Dr. Reikivic discovered mindfulness meditation in 2005, following a terrible accident that left him temporarily crippled. He was so surprised by how effective a painkiller and stress-reliever, that he sought out her friend Asana Swami, a famous meditation teacher at Indiana University, the co-developer of The Third Chakra Cognitive Therapy. The pair then wrote the awarded book GUIDED MEDITATION FOR BEGINNERS. Dr. Reikivic rehabilitated himself from his accident injuries in record time and he is now a keen long-distance hiker and a cyclist. He credits his surprising recovery, in large part, to the meditations he has practiced since his accident.
