Douglas B. Sharp grew up on a dairy farm in Lansing, Michigan and has always enjoyed the study of science and history. During high school and college, he conducted chemistry experiments on the origin of amino acids and proteins, and the results persuaded him that the evolutionary origin of life is impossible. He graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Physical Science and after spending four years in the Navy after graduation and marriage, he embarked on a 50-year career as an Information Systems Specialist. He retired after serving the Department of Natural Resources at the State of Michigan through the Department of Technology, Management and Budget for 20 years. His relationship with his wife Vivian lasted 50 years, but she is now in heaven with the Lord after losing her battle with cancer. Doug has written several books, mostly about the creation and evolution controversy and history. His first book, Revolution Against Evolution, was first published in 1986 and a second edition in 1993. A new edition is in preparation. In 2008, he published Persuaded by the Evidence through Master Books and in 2014, Transformed by the Evidence through Leafcutter Press. In 1993, he began producing a television show and YouTube channel called Revolution Against Evolution, which continues to the present with over 900 episodes. Currently Doug volunteers as a docent for the Michigan History Center near the Michigan State Capitol building and published a book called Dr. Hale's Home Remedy and Recipe Book from a historic handwritten doctor's handbook found in his grandmother's attic. It was written between 1844 and 1863. He has also compiled the history of the Sharp Dairy Farm where he grew up. Doug has two daughters, Karen, Linda, and three granddaughters, Julia, Kayla, and Amara.
