Dr. Jamil Zainaldin graduated from the University of Virginia and the University of Chicago. He has served as staff director for the Task Force on Social Security and Women of the U.S. House Select Committee on Aging, American Historical Association deputy director, president of the Federation of State Humanities Council, and as president of the Georgia Humanities Council, from which he retired as president emeritus.
