Scott Craven grew up in California and in 1979 became a proud graduate of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. Since then he has worked as a sports reporter for the Colorado Springs Sun and a news reporter and travel writer for the Phoenix Gazette. He is currently a features writer for the Arizona Republic, where he's been telling other people's stories for more than twenty-five years.
