A preacher since 1964, J. J. Turner conducts seminars on leadership, marriage and family, anger management, church growth, preaching enrichment, and other subjects. Teachers, Wake Up! is eighth in his series of wake-up calls for the church, joining admonitions for shepherds, deacons, preachers, Christians, parents, husbands and wives, and teens. Dr. Turner is the founding President and Chancellor of World Bible Institute, which recently inaugurated The J. J. Turner School of Biblical Leadership in his honor. He and his wife Isabel live in McDonough, Georgia. They have two children and four grandchildren.
