Mark Beckner is known in Colorado from his time with the Boulder Police Department from 1978 to 2014. He rose through the ranks to become Boulder's Police Chief in 1998 and remained in that position until his retirement in 2014. Mark holds a Master's Degree from the University of Colorado Denver and now splits his time between Colorado and Arizona. Mark and his wife Sally have a daughter, Kimberlee, and a son, Chad who are both married with kids. They have five grandchildren. Mark now relies on his law enforcement experience, imagination, and writing skills to create thrilling, dramatic, and suspenseful murder mysteries with a touch of realism. His first three books, Behind The Lies, Death From Desire, and Naked Evidence, have received positive reviews. This fourth book, Silent Waters - Murder on Boulder Creek, takes place in the town he policed in for thirty-six years, Boulder, Colorado. This is also Mark's first full length novel.
