Judith Newman is a pediatric ophthalmologist who has practiced general and pediatric ophthalmology in San Antonio since 1978. Dr. Newman has volunteered her skills for over 120 vision-saving expeditions in twenty-one countries. She has found a valuable niche in the teaching of pediatric ophthalmic skills to overseas ophthalmologists. Judith and her husband, Philip Krueger, are both avid Latin dancers and fitness buffs. They live joyful lives in Helotes, Texas, where they keep two cats, Calvin and Grace; a tortoise preserve; and a classic-car collection, mostly restored by Philip.
