Chris and Ronnie, although originally from Plymouth and North Cornwall respectively, have lived in North-east Wales for over twenty years. They have walked or climbed in many parts of the British Isles and completed several long distance walks, including Offa's Dyke and the Cornish Coast Path. They felt it was time to get to know Mid-Wales more intimately and decided on Glyndwr's Way. At the time there was not an adequate guidebook to Glyndwr's Way, so on their return they set about compiling one.

Chris has worked in Outdoor Education most of his working life, teaching a variety of sports and pursuits, including of course, mountain walking skills. Chris undertook the majority of the route finding and planning, plus the photographs.

Ronnie works for Oswestry Borough Council and has written the guide and researched the background information to Glyndwr and the places visited.
