Following a B.D and Ph.D. in Ecclesiastical History at the University of St Andrews, Shirley Hall had a career in teaching and as a Diocesan Religious Education Adviser. She is now a volunteer Ely Cathedral Guide and lives in what was once the Parish of Holy Trinity, Ely.
