Andrew Dickson is an acclaimed performer, longtime host of The Moth, and an advertising copywriter. After growing up in Garrett Park, Maryland and graduating from Wesleyan University with a film degree Andrew moved to Portland, Oregon in 1995 and quickly become part of the DIY art and music scene. He wrote directed several films including Good Grief, Hunter Dawson and Autographhss dot com before becoming a performance artist and creating full-length shows like Life Coach, Sell Out and AC Dickson: eBay PowerSeller which toured internationally. Andrew has also had a long career as an advertising copywriter, and has written ads for clients like Old Spice and Apple, created the 7 Wonders of Oregon for Travel Oregon and for serval years ran the experimental advertising school WK12, For the last decade he's been a professional storyteller, hosting shows for The Moth, continued to perform his own work and has helped non-profits and arts organizations raise millions of dollars as an emcee and auctioneer.
