Brian Bond is one of Britain's most distinguished military historians. Emeritus Professor of King's College London, he has also been a visiting Fellow of Brasenose and All Souls colleges in Oxford. In 2000 he gave the Lees Knowles lectures at the University of Cambridge. His six books include The Pursuit of Victory: from Napoleon to Saddam Hussein" "and The Unquiet Front: Britain's Role in Literature and History.
