S. Koteshwara Rao University Professor & Head, Department of Plant Breeding & Genetics, Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, Jabalpur (MP) has worked more than 29 years in crop improvement and developed several crop varieties. In recognition of his meritorious and outstanding contribution in the field of Maintenance breeding, seed production and seed systems Dr. Rao has been conferred prestigious Rafi Ahmed Kidwai Award. Dr. Rao has published more than 200 research papers in international and national Journals. He is actively involved in planning and promotion of public sector hybrid technologies of Rice, Maize, Pigeon pea etc. in Madhya Pradesh as well as other parts of the country.
