Charles Ludwig was born on January 8, 1918, in McComb, Illinois. He went with his missionary parents to Kenya in 1927 and remained with them on the field until 1937. Upon returning to the United States, he enrolled at Anderson College where he received his bachelor's degree. While in college he married Mary Pucheck. Charles Ludwig has published over a thousand articles, short stories, serials, and nearly three dozen books. His writings have appeared in ten languages. In addition to writing, Charles Ludwig has pastored five congregations and has conducted over three hundred evangelistic campaigns. He has preached in many countries around the world. In recognition of his preaching and writing, Gulf Coast Bible College awarded him a Doctor of Divinity degree in 1973.
