Eric Pringle has written many plays for radio and television, including Doctor Who, and he has done dramatisations of Thomas Hardy, Joan Aiken and H.E. Bates for Radio 4. This is his third children's book for Bloomsbury. Eric lives in Ledbury, Herefordshire.
