With her novels for young people, Jan L. Coates has been a finalist for the Governor General’s Literary Award and the Ann Connor Brimer Award, and earned a USBBY Outstanding International Book selection. In 2015 she published her first picture book, The King of Keji. Her second picture book is Sky Pig. Jan lives, writes, and teaches in Wolfville, Nova Scotia.
