Lauren Taylor is the author's pen name and she currently resides in St. Louis, Missouri. Having grown up in Texas, her knowledge of Texas' regional culture emanates from having lived in Houston and the East Texas Piney Woods early in her professional life. She spent many years as a human resources professional providing the story authenticity of life as a human resources professional. Although Lauren is not a Tarot Card reader, she has dabbled with this variant of psychic phenomena over the years since becoming a widow in 2004, the cards have lead her on a few merry chases of her own.
